What is Citizenship?

Citizenship

Professor David Alton is May Makin Professor of Citizenship and Director of the Foundation for Citizenship at Liverpool John Moores University (JMU). The Foundation intends to promote the development of "ethical" students and an "ethos" of citizenship in the wider community. To this end a programme of prestigious lectures, "Good Citizenship Awards" in local schools, teaching resources in the form of videos and a CD-Rom, and the development of a JMU Citizenship Award have been established within the university and the wider community as appropriate.
